Day 1

Arrival - Negombo

Day 2

Anuradhapura

Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the cradle of the glorious Sinhalese Buddhist civilization and served as the center of Theravada Buddhism for centuries. Day 3

Jaffna

Dambakola Patuna Sangamitta Temple holds deep spiritual significance for Sri Lankans, as it is the sacred site where Theri Sangamitta, sister of Mahinda Thero, arrived with a sapling from the Great Sri Maha Bodhi in India. This very sapling was later planted in the Sacred City of Anuradhapura and remains a revered symbol of Theravada Buddhism in Sri Lanka. After visiting the temple, you will continue with a sightseeing city tour of Jaffna.

Day 4

Jaffna

Nagadeepa Temple, located on the Nainativu islet off the Jaffna coast, is a sacred site in Sri Lanka's Buddhist pilgrimage tradition. According to legend, the island was once ruled by the Naga people, who built this temple to honor a visit by Lord Buddha. It is one of the 16 holiest Buddhist shrines (Solosmasthana) in the country.

Northeast is his brother Bevis's Brief Garden.
